Book of Revelation – Bible Study – Chapter 1

Introduction: In this First Bible Study lesson we will begin reading each verse and then we will attempt to answer each verse with a comment about that verse separately as we study each scripture in all chapters of this blessed book of the Revelation. The Lord Jesus Christ gave this Revelation to the Apostle John while he was on the Isle which is called Patmos. In this Bible Study always look for Key-Words in each verse and also look for Phrases too. This will help you understand the Scriptures with the help of the Holy Spirit. In this Bible Study I used my favorite commentaries such as Clarke’s and Matthew Henry’s Commentary in my study about the book of Revelation. I also use my old Scofield Bible because it has great foot-notes and it has a very good cross-reference of the scriptures and it is also my favored bible and my first bible. I also get most of my facts and history from three old KJV Bible which happen to be over one hundred and sixty years and they are so precious to me.  I have two Encyclopedia that is more than a hundred years old which was giving to me by one of my Brothers in Christ, Bret Campbell. I miss him so because he has gone on to be with our Lord Jesus Christ for more than 40 years now.

Revelation Chapter 1:

1) Read (Revelation 1:1) The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: (KJV)

Explanation: (Revelation 1:1) The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him. The Revelation was given is that of Jesus Christ, and it was not the Apostle John’s Revelation as some people might think. John was only the servant that God used to write this great true vision. To shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass. Refers to the beginning of all the events and this continue on unto this hour, and will continue forever; for it is the Church Age and beyond. And he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John. Remember, even though this Revelation came from Jesus Christ, it was delivered to the Apostle John by “His Angel”.  In our bible study you will see that Jesus used many Angels to minister to all nations during the last half of the Tribulation.

Comments: We should remember that the title of this book is the “Revelation of Jesus Christ”. God (Jehovah) the God of Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac gave this Revelation to Who, Jesus Christ, Why, to be shown to the Apostle John by means of an Angel or (messenger). The word Revelation means to reveal or the unveiling of God’s plan for the whole world through Jesus Christ, God’s only Son. The prophecies of the book of Revelation will occur shortly in the day of the Lord or the end of the age and may begin at any time that follows the Rapture of the church, the bride of Christ, also known as the believers or saints of God.

2) Read (Revelation 1:2) Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. (KJV)

Explanation: (Revelation 1:2); Who bare record of the word of God. John regarded himself as a mere witness of what he had seen in Heaven. John also claimed only to make a fair and faithful record of what he saw of it in Heaven. And of the testimony of Jesus Christ. John was merely a witness of the Testimony that Jesus Christ had borne, and of all things that he saw. This refers to the visions and all the symbols that were given to the Apostle John in Heaven.

Comments: In verse two the phrase, “Bare record,” means that the Apostle John was a witness of what he wrote. The Apostle John saw this vision of the book of Revelation and was instructed to write what he saw. Read; (I Corinthians 1:6), and (I John 1:1).

3) Read (Revelation 1:3); Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (KJV)

Explanation: (Revelation 1:3) Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein. God is saying that all who obey these admonitions for they are promised a Blessing. For the time is at hand. God refers to the beginning of the fulfillment of all these things which begins with the Church, as it is recorded in Revelation, chapter 2 and 3, and will continues forever.

Comments: The Apostle John is simply saying; that blessed are the ones that read the book of Revelation. Also John is saying that blessed are those that hear and understand this book, and blessed are those that keep and obey it. The phrase, “The time is at hand,” simply means that there is nothing else now that has to occur before the Rapture and the beginning of the Tribulation Period.

These Messages are about the Ascended Lord Jesus to the Seven Churches

(Revelation 1:4) through (Revelation 3:22)

In these verses the Apostle John was instructed by Jesus to write about the things past and the things which he had seen.

4) Read (Revelation 1:4) John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; (KJV)

Explanation: (Revelation 1:4) John to the seven churches which are in Asia. These particular Churches were selected by the Holy Spirit so they could portray the entirety of the Church Age. Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come. This refers to Sanctifying Grace and Sanctifying Peace, and all that was made possible by the Cross. And from the seven Spirits which are before his throne. It was given to us in this manner to emphasize the sevenfold aspect of the operations of the Holy Spirit. Read (Isaiah 11:2-3)

Comments: In verse four; John issues a greeting to the seven churches, of Grace and peace, which are in Asia Minor, from God the Father, God the Holy Spirit, and God the Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Then The Apostle John tells the church that; which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne.

5) Read (Revelation 1:5) And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (KJV)

Explanation: (Revelation 1:5); And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness. Jesus lived an earthly life of perfect obedience. And the first begotten of the dead. This refers to His Resurrection, which is the first-fruits. (Romans 8:23). And the prince of the kings of the earth. Refers to His ruler-ship of the whole world, which is a key theme of this book of Revelation. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood. The Cross on Mount Calvary proves the fact of all His Love is in no uncertain terms.

Comments: In verse five the Apostle John states that Jesus Christ is the faithful witness in that He has finished His work of revealing the Father in (John chapter 17). The first begotten of the dead in that Jesus is the first-fruits of the first resurrection, (Revelation 20:6); (I Corinthians 15:23); and the prince of the Kings of this earth as the future world-wide Ruler of the Millennial Kingdom. Our Lord Jesus Christ saved us and showed His supreme love for all mankind by dying for our sins. (Romans 5:8); (I John 3:16). We as believers have been redeemed from our sins and washed in His blood by the death of Jesus Christ.

6) Read (Revelation 1:6); And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (KJV)

Explanation: (Revelation 1:6) And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father. This was made possible by what Jesus Christ did at the Cross, and only by what He did at the Cross. And to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. I tell you that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer, so Jesus Christ deserves the “Glory and Dominion,” which will be His Forever and ever.

Comments: In verse six John tells us that we are made Kings and Priests. In the true church, no one is called “Priest” except Jesus Christ. We as believers are part of a “Royal Priest-hood” in our Lord Jesus Christ (I Peter 2:9), and in (Revelation 5:10). The glory and dominion, Authority of Jesus Christ is emphasized through-out this book of Revelation.

Jesus declares that He is the First, the Last, and the only God

7) Read (Revelation 1:7) Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindred’s of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. (KJV)

Explanation: (Revelation 1:7) Behold, Jesus cometh, with clouds. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is the chief theme of this Book of Revelation. Here the word “clouds” represents great numbers of Saints. And every eye shall see him. This refers to all who will be in that immediate vicinity of Jerusalem, and there is a possible change that even billions of people may see Jesus Christ by our television system from their own living-room in their home. They also which pierced him. The Jews, and they will know then beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and the Lord. All kindred’s of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. The “wailing” that will take place because of the Judgment of Christ will bring upon the whole world for all its sin and shame.

Comments: The Scriptures plainly tells us that Jesus Christ will come with the clouds, (Daniel 7:13), in the sky. The Scripture also tells us that everyone will see Him, (Matthew 24:30). Those who pierced Him, (Zechariah 12:10), that is, those who rejected Him and wanted Jesus to die will repent and mourn and wail over Him (Zechariah 12:11). This refers to Jesus Christ return to earth to establish His Kingdom, not to the Rapture.

8) Read; (Revelation 1:8); I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (KJV)

8) Explanation: (Revelation 1:8); I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. (Here Jesus is telling all mankind that He is the First, He the Last, and He is the only God). And thus saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (Now the word “Almighty” guarantees that He, (Jesus) will be able to accomplish all that He says).

8) Comments: In verse eight Jesus said, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. The Lord Jesus Christ states here that, which is, and which was, and which is to come is the Almighty God. This refers here to God’s eternally and Sovereignty, and possibly to the fullness of God’s self-revelation.

IV) (Revelation 1:9-18); (John vision on the Isle that is called Patmos). (Here John was instructed by Jesus to write what he has saw and put it in a book and send it to the Seven Churches). John also described the Lord Jesus Christ too.

9) Read; (Revelation 1:9); I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. (KJV)

9) Explanation: (Revelation 1:9); I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. (In verse 9 the Apostle Paul said that there would be many “Tribulations” in (Acts 14:22). (Also the Apostle John identifes both the suffering of others and his own exile on “Patmos” as part of the troubles times). (Now the great tribulation is the time when the “Wrath of God” is poured out on the earth in (Mark 13:14-23). (But remember the “Wrath of God” is explained in great detail in the book of Revelation). (Read: (Daniel 9:26-27); (Daniel 12:1); and (Matthew 24:21-42)

9) Comments: In verse nine the Apostle John was exiled on the Island of Patmos for preaching the Word of God and testifying as a witness of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The word Tribulation refers here to present affections, not to the future Tribulation Period. The believers live in a presence form of God’s Kingdom, which is the church; they are not yet in the promised Messianic Kingdom. The true believers in Christ will persevere through all their present affections with the Apostle John as their example.

10) Read; (Revelation 1:10); I was in the Spirit; on the Lord’s Day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, (KJV)

10) Explanation: (Revelation 1:10); Here John said that he was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, (The apostle John was in the spirit here and was sencere and without offense till the day of our Lord Jesus Christ). (Also I believe that the rapture is in Paul’s mind as he prays too that all of them may be sincere, pure, untainted and filled with the Holy Spirit and also with a good attitude until our Lord Jesus comes again).

10) Comments: In verse ten the Apostle John said that he was in the Spirit; John also was in a state of receiving a prophetic Revelation (message) from God.(Here in this verse, the phrase, “The Lord’s Day”, refers to Sunday, the first day of the week, as the new day of worship for all Christians. (Read:  (Acts 20:7),

11) Read; (Revelation 1:11); Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. (KJV)

11) Explanation: (Revelation 1:11) Jesus Said, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. (Here in verse 11 the Apostle John was instruted by the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ to send the message to “the 7 churches of Asia”). (Now the prophetic message of Revelation was intended for a much broader distribution than these 7 churches). (I believe that these 7 churches were selected by Jesus Christ as a example for us and these 7 churches would set the stages of church history today’s times). (We should remember that a practical application of the message to these 7 churches can be made on an individual basis.

Now we also see that these 7 churches did comprise 7 methods of attacks by Satan on the Church or Satan did attack on an individual Christians with in the Church. But no matter what age the believers in Jesus Christ may live in. We should always take unto our self “the whole armor of our God” (Jehovah). (Read): (Ephesians 6:10-18) (Also you should read about how to “resist the Devil” in the books of (James 4:7) and (I Peter 5:9).

11) Comments: In verse eleven the Apostle John heard a great voice saying; I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. This description that was applied to God the “Almighty” in verse eight is here applied to Jesus Christ, showing that Christ is God, the first and the last. (Read: (Revelation 1:17), (Revelation 22:13). (Here also John is instructed to write in a book and send it to the seven churches that are in Asia). (The seven churches are named in this verse and they are); the first church is Ephesus, the second church is Smyrna, the third church is Pergamos, the fourth church is Thyatira, the fifth church is Sardis, the sixth church is Philadelphia, and the seventh church is Laodicea.

12) Read; (Revelation 1:12); And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks.  (KJV)

12) Explanation: (Revelation 1:12); And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks. (Now as believers in our Lord Jesus, we that are born again Christians should read God’s Holy Word, and be ready for His return for the Church which is His Bridegroom). (Remember we are living in terrible times and I believe that history is being fulfilled right before our eyes and there are signs of Jesus Christ return because the bible teaches us of this). (The bible teaches us that the Rapture of the church or those that are saved will be “caught-up” to be with our Lord Jesus Christ and be with Him forever and ever). (I believe that the Church and God’s final judgment are the only prophetic events that remain to be fulfilled in this present age, so be ready. (Read): (I Thessalonians 4:13-18).

12) Comments: (In verse twelve the Apostle John turned to see who had spoke to him). (And when John turned, he said that he saw seven golden candlesticks and these seven candlesticks are identified in verse twenty as the seven churches that are mentioned here in verse eleven).

13) Read; (Revelation 1:13); And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. (KJV)

13) Explanation: (Revelation 1:13); And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. The “7 candlesticks” represent the “7 churches” and the one like the “Son of man”, is Jesus). (Now the term “Son of man” echoes back to (Daniel 7:13); and in comparison to these two scriptures, and along with Jesus which common to the use of the name, “Son of man” for Himself, and this indicates that Jesus Christ is the subject of verses 12 through 18 of this chapter.

13) Comments: In verse thirteen John tells us that the Son of man is a messianic title from (Daniel 7:13), and this was Jesus favorite designation for himself. The garment described in verse thirteen is a judge’s robe.

14) Read; (Revelation 1:14); His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire.  (KJV)

14) Explanation: (Revelation 1:14); His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire. (Here in this verse the Apostle John gives us a description our Lord Jesus). (John said that His hair was white like wool and as white as snow). (Now the word white appears as parallel to the description of the “Ancient of days” in, (Daniel7:9), and of Jesus Christ on the “Mount of Transfiguration”, (Matthew 17:2).  (Also this similarity of descriptions does demonstrates the purity and the eternality of both God the Father and God the Son). (We should remember that all the overcomers that are born again believers in Jesus Christ will be “clothed in white raiment”). (Read; (Revelation 3:5) and (Revelation 19:8). (Also John said that His eyes were as a flame of fire). (Read;  (Daniel 10:6); (Revelation 2: 18); and (Revelation 19:12).

14) Comments: In verse fourteen the Apostle John tells us that Jesus white hair symbolizes justice, purity, and His glory. The fire is a symbol of judgment.

15) Read; (Revelation 1:15); And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. (KJV)

15) Explanation: (Revelation 1:15); (Here in verse 15 the Apostle John tells us that Jesus’s feet were like fine brass and as if they were refined in a furnace). (Now this bronze imagery speaks of judgment, and reminds us of the brazen altar of the tabernacle). (This is where people’s sin was judged at). (Also our Lord Jesus voice was the sound of many waters). (Now this sound of many waters may mean that if you were by a large water fall, and the one who hears this sound may be deafen by the roar of many waters). (Also this may seem to indicate the attitude of our Lord Jesus as He comes in judgment on the day of Lord). (When our Lord Jesus comes all other voices will be stilled by the deafening and over powering voice of our Lord and Savior).

15) Comments: In verse fifteen the Apostle John tells us that the brass and the sound of His voice truly shows Christ’s authority and all His power here.

16) (Read; (Revelation 1:16); And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. (KJV)

16) Explanation: (Revelation 1:16); And he had in his right hand seven stars. And out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword. And his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. (Here John tells us that the sharp two-edged sword coming out of our Lord Jesus Christ’s mouth is symbolic of the judging power of the Word of God). (Read: (Hebrews 4:12). (John also tells us about our Lord Jesus’s countenance which was like the sun shining in His strength and this speaks of the divine nature of Jesus Christ and reminds us of the description of Him on the “Mount of Transfiguration”). (Matthew 17:2)

16) Comments: In verse sixteen John tells us that the seven stars are identified in verse twenty as the Angel of the seven churches. The two-edged sword also represents Christ’s judgment of the church and the world through His divine Word.

17) Read; (Revelation 1:17); And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: (KJV)

17) Explanation: (Revelation 1:17) And when John saw Jesus, he fell at his feet and I (John) though that I was dead. And Jesus laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, John Fear not; for I am the first and the last. (I believe that the Apostle John is saying to all of us here  that we should fear not about the heartaches, death, and life’s every days problems but keep our sevles Holy and pure until the return of our Savior Jesus Christ). (We should remember that the message to John is from “the first and the last”, and the eternal One which is Jesus Christ). (Jesus is the One that live and was dead and He has rising from the grave and He is alive forever more). (We as Christians should be ready to meet our Lord Jesus every day of our lives).

17) Comments: In verse seventeen John’s initial reaction to this vision was fear. Then the Apostle John was overwhelmed by the glory of God as seen in Christ.  (Daniel 10:8-12), Then Jesus tells John to fear not, as He did with the other Apostles. (Matthew 14:27)(Luke 5:10) Jesus also tells John that I am the first and the last in this verse seventeen. (Revelation 1:11), (Revelation 22:13)

18) Read; (Revelation 1:18); I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. (KJV)

18) Explanation: (Revelation 1:18); Jesus said that I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen. (Jesus said I have the keys of hell and of death). (This means that our Lord Jesus Christ has the authority over those who have died physically and over their present resting place, and their resting place will be emptied and destroyed at the time of the great white throne judgment in (Revelation 20:11-15). (Now the word “death”, can be translated elsewhere as “Hades,” which is the place where the dead rest). (Now the Hebrew word “Sheol” in the place where the dead go and the Greek word “Hades’” or “Gehenna” is a place of eternal punishment). (Now both of these words are translated as a place of “hell” in some scriptures of the bible). (Read: (Luke 16:20-25)

18) Comments: In verse eighteen, Jesus tells John that, as God in the Old Testament that He is called the “living God”, so Jesus Christ is He that liveth. Our Lord Jesus Christ also became dead when He humbled Himself to die on the cross, (Philippians 2:6-8), but then Jesus rose to live for evermore. Our Lord Jesus Christ has authority over death and all judgment, and therefore has the keys of Hell and of death. (Revelation 20:14)

V) (Jesus commands John to write these things which he saw)

19) Read; (Revelation 1:19); Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; (KJV)

19) Explanation: (Revelation 1:19); Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter. (Now verse 19 gives us the order of the book of Revelation, which is written chronologically, or as the events will happen). (We should immediately recognizes the three tenses which are past, present, and future). (This verse 20 provides an example from Jesus Christ Himself on how to interpret the symbols in this book of Revelation).

19) Comments: Verse nineteen is the key verse of this book of Revelation. In Revelation it has three major sections; 1) The Apostle John was instructed to write the things which he had seen in chapter one, especially the vision of Christ. (Revelation 1:11), 2) Next John was to write the things which are in chapters two and three which was the condition of the churches, and 3) John was instructed to write the things which shall be hereafter in chapters four through chapter twenty-two, beginning with the judgments of the Tribulation Period.

20) Read; (Revelation 1:20); The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches. And the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. (KJV)

20) Explanation: Revelation 1:20); The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. (The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches). (And the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches). (We should remember that the “Angels” are created spirit beings who minister to all the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ). (Here Jesus Christ defines the identity of the key symbols, and He said that stars in His hand are the “Angels” or the “messengers”). (Also Jesus said that the 7 lampstands are the “seven churches”). (Now the meaning then is that the churches, which are “the light of the world” in (Matthew 5:14). And they are the lampstands that hold forth the light of the gospel, and the stars are Angels or special messengers of Jesus Christ that are sent to protect the churches).

20) Comments: In verse twenty, Jesus tells John that the seven candlesticks in the midst of which Jesus Christ stood in the vision are identified as the seven churches that was listed in verse eleven. Our Lord Jesus Christ also tells John that the seven stars in His right hand represent the Angels of the seven churches. Jesus tells John that each Angel has a special guardian ministry toward one specific church; (Hebrews 1:14), or the human leaders or pastors of these churches. (Angels literally means messengers). Now here in verse 20 the mystery is the allegorical explanation of the seven stars is the seven angels or ministers of the churches; and the meaning of the seven golden lamps is the seven churches themselves.

20) Extra- Comments:  In verse twenty Jesus tells us the mystery; here Jesus Himself provides an example on how to interpret the symbols in the book of Revelation. Also Jesus defines the identity of the key symbols, the stars in His right hand as “Angels” or “messengers”. The seven lamp-stands are the “seven churches”.

Now the obvious meaning is that the churches, which are the light of the world in (Matthew 5:14). Also the lamp-stands that hold forth the light of the Gospel, and the stars are Angels or special messengers of Jesus Christ that are sent to protect the churches. Now throughout its history, the church has served as the lamp-stand of God in a dark and depraved world. (Read); (Zechariah 4:2)

A) The main reason or purpose of teaching this “Book of Revelation” in this simple lay-out form is to tell the Gospel of our Lord Jesus and to warn all people of their destination of their souls and hopefully help them hear the “Good News” of Jesus whether they are saved or lost. Now I believe, by studding God’s Holy Word we can have a better picture of Heaven and Hell. Also it is my prayer and hope that everyone can understand a little more about their new home in Heaven and of what God’s future plan that He has in store for them for all eternity.

B) Now I remember when someone would ask a question about the book of Revelation in the bible. This was in my early Christian life, but most people would avoid answering any questions about this book. But some people would just shake their heads and were to scare to discuss anything about their future or just what might happen to them. Then some people would say that they have never read anything in the bible but the four Gospels. But some have said that they cannot understand anything that the Scriptures are saying to them.

C) So this is why I have tried to outline each of the verses with the help of the Holy Spirit, and I hope that anyone; whether they are a believer in Jesus Christ, (Saved), or you are an unbeliever in Jesus Christ, (Lost) and don’t know who our Savior Jesus Christ is. It is my hope and prayer that you try to read and study the Book of Revelation and that everyone will always keep an open-mind. Now remember that God loves you and this Book of Revelation is all about your future and where everyone will spend the rest of their life at.

D) Now as a Christian I am concerned about your soul and where you will spend all eternity at. So just remember that we all have two choices in this life and the first one is that you should realize that you are a sinner and on your way to a place called Hell and that is because of your unbelief in Jesus and His finish Works on the Cross where He died and paid the price for all of our sins.

E) The Second choice is that when you call upon the name of Jesus Christ and ask Him to come into your life and save you. Then if you confess your sins to Him and you are sincere about where your soul will spend eternity. Then our Lord Jesus will write your name in the Book of Life. By this act you are on your way to a place called Heaven and that is because of what Jesus done for all mankind on the Cross. We should never forget that Jesus paid the price by shedding His precious Blood and there He died willing so that all mankind could go free.

F) Now remember, all you have to do is just sincerely pray a simple prayer like this one here. “Please God, I confess to you my sins and I need Jesus in my life right now. I will turn away from my sins and place my Faith in your Son Jesus as my Lord and Savior. AMEN.

G) Then you should share your Faith in Jesus Christ with other Christian friends or a pastor. Now by becoming a Christian, this is your first step on that long life’s road of a spiritual growth and your service to sharing God. The second step is to follow Jesus Christ in a believer’s baptism by immersion in water and joining a local church that teaches the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

H) We as believers in our Lord Jesus Christ should remember that “Salvation” is simple, but it’s not cheap. It cost Jesus Christ everything so that Salvation could be offered to us freely. God has provided Salvation on a basis, which permits anyone who can make their own decision to have it. If Salvation could be received on the basis of education, multitudes would be excluded. If eternal life could be had on the basis of wealth, a great number would still be left out. If being saved were dependent upon one’s moral perfection, everyone would fall short. God has made His salvation available on the basis of a personal faith which even a child can exercise. This way all must come to Him on the same terms (Romans 3:9-10); and (Galatians 3:22). Paul said, “For by grace are ye saved through faith”; and that not, of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

I) Note: Now this concludes our bible study on chapter one of the Book of Revelation. Please be much in prayer for me as I try to teach the second chapter of this great book of Revelation.  Now everything on this web-site is free. Please pass them on to other people if they have helped you.

Your, Brother in Christ;
