Questions about the Book of Amos

Amos is the thirtieth book of the Old Testament. In the book of Amos, whose name is related to a verb meaning “to bear a load,” was burdened over the sin of the Northern Kingdom in the eighth century B.C. Hosea was crushed with a sense of the unfaithfulness of Israel to the love of God, and Amos was outraged at the violence they had done to the justice and righteousness of God. The book of Amos can be divided into five parts: 1) The pronouncement of judgment, 2) Inevitable divine judgment because of sin, 3) God pleads with Israel to return to Him, 4) Some phenomena in relation to coming judgment, 5) The final restoration of Israel.
