Lamentations is the twenty-fifth book of the bible. Lamentations in the Hebrew Bible is in a poetic form, and each of the first four chapters is an acrostic, the first verse beginning with the first letter of the alphabet, the second with the second letter, and so on. Jeremiah’s burden of sympathy for Jerusalem discloses the love and sorrow of the Lord for the very people whom he is chastening, a burden similar to that which the Lord Jesus Christ expressed in His lament over Jerusalem. The book of Lamentations can be divided by its chapters, each of which contains a different Lamentation. The author of this book is Jeremiah. Listed below are questions on the book of Lamentations.
