Book of Revelation – Bible Study – Chapter 20

The Book of Revelation Chapter 20”

Introduction: In this lesson we are going to study the messages of Jesus Christ that He gave to the Apostle John about chapter twenty. There are five main subjects in Revelation chapter 20, arranged in chronological order; First -Satan is bound for a 1000 years (Revelation 20:1-3), Second -the saints who reign with Christ during the Millennial Kingdom (Revelation 20:4-6), Third -Satan is loosed after the 1000 years (Revelation 20:7-9) , Fourth -Satan is cast into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:10), Fifth is the Great White Throne Judgment of the unbelievers from all ages (Revelation 20:11-15).

Revelation Chapter 20:

I) (Now Satan is bound for a 1000 years during the Kingdom Age) (Revelation 20:1-3)

1) (Read) (Chapter 20:1); And I saw an Angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (KJV)

1) Explanation: (Chapter 20:1); And I (John) saw an Angel come down from heaven. Here John said that he saw an Angel come down from Heaven and we continue with this idea that Angels are very prominent in the plan and also the Work of God. Also the Angel has the key of the bottomless pit. Now here John speaks of the same place that is recorded in (Revelation 9:1); however, there the key is given to Satan, but this Angel of (Revelation 20:1); “has the key,” that implies that he has had it all along; but God probably allowed this Angel to give the key to Satan in (Revelation 9:1). Also John said that the Angel had a great chain in his hand. (Now this great chain in his hand should be taken literally).

1) Comments: (Chapter 20:1); Now here our Lord Jesus Christ begins with Satan being bound with a chain for a thousand years in the bottomless pit by an Angel. Now some believe that this Angel is Jesus Christ because Jesus holds the keys “of Hades and of Death”. (Revelation 1:18); However, since Jesus Christ is not seen as an Angel after His Ascension to Heaven, I believe that He has empower an Angel such as Michael to bind Satan and chain him in the bottomless pit for this thousand years.

2) (Read) (Chapter 20:2); And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, (KJV)

2) Explanation: (Chapter 20:2); And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and also is called Satan, (Now here as a “dragon,” he shows his power; as a “serpent,” he shows his cunning; as the “Devil,” he is the accuser; and as “Satan” he is the adversary). And the Angel bound him for a thousand years. (Now this refers to being bound by the great chain that was carried by the Angel).

2) Comments: (Chapter 20:2); Now Satan is bound and cast into the bottomless pit for a thousand years. Satan is a created being and he is also an influence of all evil. There are many passages in the bible that teach of a coming literal Kingdom on earth when the Messiah (Jesus Christ) will rein in (Isaiah 2:2-4); (Ezekiel 37:21-28); (Zechariah 9:10); (Zechariah 9:10). Now that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan. He who is called the old serpent is the DEVIL and the calumniator, and Satan is the opposer. He who supposes that the term old serpent here plainly proves that the creature that tempted our first parents was actually a snake, must enjoy his opinion; and those who can receive such a saying, why let them receive it.

2) Extra Comments: (Chapter 20:1-3)

1) (Here Satan is called by four personal names)

A) The Dragon:(Revelation 12:3-9), (Revelation 12:15-17)

B) That old Serpent:(Genesis 3:1-14); (Isaiah 27:1); (II Corinthians 11:3); (Revelation 12:9-15)

C) The Devil:(Matthew 4:1-11); (Matthew 25:41); (Ephesians 4:27); (Ephesians 6:11); (I Timothy 3:6-7); (II Timothy 2:26); (Hebrews 2:14); (James 4:7); (I Peter 5:8); (Jude 1:9); (Revelation 2:10); (Revelation 12:9-12)

D) Satan:(I Chronicles 21:1); (Job 1:6), (Job 2:7); (Zechariah 3:12); (Matthew 4:10); (Matthew 12:26); (I Thessalonians 2:18); (II Thessalonians 2:9); (Revelation 12:9)

2) A study of these names reveals the, person of Satan. (Compared with (Revelation 9:1) binds Satan with a great chain (compare with (II Peter 2:4); (Jude 1:6), Satan is a literal person and is bound by a literal chain in a literal bottomless pit or Abyss; (Luke 8:26-36). Now an Angel such as Michael the Arc-Angel will bind Satan and chain him in the bottomless pit for a thousand years.

3) The purpose of the binding of Satan for a thousand years is to produce a perfect spiritual and moral environment during the Millennium. This will be true, not only because Satan is bound and made inactive, but also because Christ will be reining as absolute sovereign, without the interference of this Evil one the Devil.

4) Satan is loosed a little season after the thousand years. First, there is a lesson for us in the fact that Satan’s nature does not change, even though he is imprisoned. Second, the loosing of Satan after the 1000 years proves that sinful human nature does not change because they join with Satan against God (Revelation 20:7-8). Third, the children that are born during the 1000 years, will have a sinful nature, and will have to choose Jesus Christ as their Savior or turn to Satan when he is loosed after the 1000 years.

3) (Read) (Chapter 20:3); And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (KJV)

3) Explanation: (Chapter 20:3); And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him. (Now this speaks of the abyss, which means that Satan was cast into the bottomless pit, and he was sealed to keep him there). Also that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled. And after that, he meaning the Devil must be loosed a little season. (Now when the end of the thousand-year period is up, Satan will be loosed out of his prison. The Devil will make another attempt to deceive the nations, in which he will not succeed. Now we aren’t told just how long this “little season” will be).

3) Comments: (Chapter 20:3); Now Satan is cast into the bottomless pit and a seal is put upon him so that he cannot deceive the nations (people) any more. Satan will be here for one thousand years is fulfilled. Then he will be let loose for a little season. Now our Lord Jesus Christ will reign as King and supreme Ruler during this period of one thousand years while Satan is locked-up in the bottomless pit. He should deceive the nations no more. Now Satan will be unable to blind men with superstition and idolatry as he had formerly done.

II) (The Saints Reign with Jesus Christ for a 1000 years) (Revelation 20:4-6)

4) (Read) (Chapter 20:4); And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (KJV)

4) Explanation: (Chapter 20:4); And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them. (Now this refers to the twenty-four Elders who represent the entire Plan of God, which pertains to the Redeemed of all ages). (Now we aren’t told who these men are but some Bible scholars believe that because there were 12 tribes of Israel in the Old Testament and 12 Apostles in the New Testament that these 24 Elders probably represent all the redeemed of God for all time and they symbolize both the Jews and all the Gentiles). John said that he saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands. (Now these are the Tribulation Saints who gave their lives for the cause of Jesus Christ. Now the idea is that these will be included in the first Resurrection of Life, and will enjoy all its privileges). And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Now these thousand years with Jesus Christ is the Kingdom Age).

4) Comments: (Chapter 20:4); Now this verse tells us of those who had been beheaded for their witness to our Lord Jesus Christ. In (Revelation 6:9-11) speaks of many who will be slain by the Antichrist during the Tribulation for they will refused to take his mark which is the number (666). Now they will be resurrected so they can reign with Jesus Christ during His one thousand year kingdom on earth.

5) (Read) (Chapter 20:5); But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (KJV)

5) Explanation: (Chapter 20:5); But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. (Now this pertains to all the unsaved, in fact, all those who lived and died since the dawn of time. Now the souls and spirits of these people are now in Hell. (Luke 16:19-31). This is the first resurrection. (Now this first Resurrection proclaims the fact, that these two Resurrections, the Resurrection of the “Just” (the saved) and the Resurrection of the “Unjust,” (the unsaved) will be separated by one-thousand years).

5) Comments: (Chapter 20:5); Now our God (Jehovah) is the only Creator. The Bible begins with the majestic story of His creation of the universe, and it concludes with His Creation of a new Heaven and a new earth.

Now there is a tremendous hope and encouragement for all the believers in Christ. When we are with God, and our sins are forgiven and our future is secure, then we will be like Jesus Christ. Then we will be made perfect like Him.

5) Extra Comments: They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. This is the first resurrection. Now notice; how the reigning with Christ is connected with the first resurrection, “Who are they?”

A)  The first company is described by the words; “I saw Thrones and they sat upon them, and Judgment was given unto them”. These are the New Testament resurrected saints that the Apostle Paul writes about in (I Thessalonians 4:13-16); (I Corinthians 15:51-54).

B) The second company is described by the words; “And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded”. These are Tribulation saints that will be raised at the beginning of the 1000 yrs.

C) The third company is not described here, but are a part of the first resurrection and will be raised after the Tribulation, and before the thousand year reign. These are the Old Testament Saints in (Daniel 12:1-2). These three companies make up the First Resurrection, which is called a better resurrection in (Hebrews l1:35); a resurrection of the just – (Read) (Luke 14:14); (Acts 24:15) a resurrection of life – (Read) (John 5:25-29). And about (the two Resurrections).

D) The reigning with Christ is a particular promise of the New Testament Church. (Compare with (Revelation 2:26-27); (Revelation 5:8-10). We are heirs and joint heirs with Christ in his kingdom in (Romans 8:17). Jesus said he would make us rulers over many things- (Matthew 25:21); (Matthew 24:45-47); and over many cities, (Luke 19:17). The twelve Apostles will sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel in the kingdom (Matthew.19:28). Paul said if we suffer with him we shall also reign with him. (II Timothy 2:12)

E) The term 1000 years, identifies a portion of the everlasting Kingdom that Jesus will establish upon the earth. This portion of the Kingdom is called the Millennium which means one thousand. Lot’s make some brief observations of this Kingdom.

1) This Kingdom is a literal, physical, and visible earthly rule in these passages: Daniel 7:13-4); (Daniel 7:18-27), (Hosea 3:5); (Jeremiah 30:91); (Ezekiel) 34:24; (Ezekiel 37:24-25); (Matthew 19:28); (Matthew 25:31-34); (Luke 1:30-33).

2) This Kingdom will fulfill the Abrahamic Covenant:

A) That his seed (Israel) would become a mighty nation in (Genesis 12:1-3); (Genesis 13:16); (Genesis 15:5); (Genesis 17:7); (Genesis 22:17-18).

B) That his seed (Israel) would someday own “Palestine forever” in (Read) (Genesis 12:7); (Genesis 13:14-17); (Genesis 15:7); (Genesis 15:18-21); (Genesis 17:8).

3) This Kingdom will fulfill the Davidic Covenant, in (II Chronicles 13:5); (II Samuel 7:12-16) (II Samuel 23:5). They are listed below:

a) That from David would come an everlasting throne.

b) That from David would come an everlasting kingdom.

c) That from David would come an everlasting King.

The rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished:  All the righteous dead are raised before the Millennium and all the unrighteous dead are raised after the Millennium at (the Great white Throne Judgment.) (Read) (Revelation 20: 11-15)

6) (Read) (Chapter 20:6); Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. (KJV)

6) Explanation: (Chapter 20:6);  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection. (Now this is the Resurrection of Life, which will include every Saint of God who has ever lived from Abel to the last Tribulation Saint; and they will be given glorified bodies). Now on such the second death hath no power. (Now here the “second death” is to be cast into the Lake of Fire, and they will be there forever and ever). (Revelation 2:8); (Now all who are washed in the Blood of the Lamb and they will not have to fear the second death). But they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

(Now all the Believers who have part in the First Resurrection will at the same time serve as Priests, between the population of the world with God and Jesus Christ. The “thousand years” portrays the Kingdom Age, when Jesus Christ will reign supreme over the entire Earth).

6) Comments: (Chapter 20:6); Now the “first resurrection” is for the believers and it takes place in three installments. (Please read below)

1) Jesus Christ as the first-fruits in (I Corinthians 15:20).

2) The rapture of the Church in (I Corinthians 15:23); (I Thessalonians 4:13-18).

3) The Tribulation saints are raised before the kingdom along with the Old Testament saints in (Psalms 50:1-6). Now this resurrection includes all believing dead up to the time of Jesus Christ’s return.

4) The second resurrection is exclusively for the unbelievers. Now the “second death” is the final death or the incarceration into the lake of fire for all those who have rejected our God’s great salvation plan. We should always remember that the second death is a spiritual death and that is an everlasting separation from God. (Revelation 21:8)

III) (Now Satan is loosed at the end of 1000 years and the Rebellion is Crushed).  (Revelation 20:7-9)

7) (Read) (Chapter 20:7); And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison. (KJV)

7) Explanation: (Chapter 20:7);And when the thousand years are expired, (Now the thousand years should have been translated; “IT IS FINISHED”). Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, (Now here Satan is released from prison and this is not meant that he will infer or act on the part of God; but God has a very valid reason for doing this).

7) Comments: (Chapter 20:7); Now many of the believers who enter the Millennium will be in unresurrected, natural bodies as the survivors of the Tribulation in (Matthew 25:34) will have children. They will also reproduce throughout the thousand years. Now many of these descendants will remain unsaved and are unregenerate, and they will be able to sin. Now at the end of the Millennium, Satan will be released from prison to make one last attempt to defeat our Lord Jesus Christ. That old Devil will once again deceive the nations into rebellion against God.

8) (Read) (Chapter 20:8); And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. (KJV)

8) Explanation: (Chapter 20:8); And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog. (Now the main reason that the Lord God allows Satan this latitude is, it seems as to rid the Earth of all who oppose Jesus Christ; which is “Gog and Magog”. And this was spoken by the Apostle John and it is a Hebrew term, expressive of multitude and magnitude; and here it embraces all nations, “the four quarters of the Earth”; to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. (Now this proclaims the fact that virtually all of the people at this particular time, that did not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior during the Kingdom Age, they will stand with Satan to fight in this battle).

8) Comments: (Chapter 20:8); Now Satan is let loose from the bottomless pit and he will gather the nations to battle at Gog and Magog which the bible stated that the “number of people is as the sand of the sea”. This battle is not the same battle that is described by Ezekiel in chapters 38 and 39 of the Old Testament. Now the battle described in Ezekiel is an invasion that comes solely from the “North”, from Russia and her adjacent allies. Now at the end of this battle, one-sixth of the invaders survive alive to return home in (Ezekiel 39:2). In the battle described in Revelation, however, the invaders come from all of the “four quarters of the earth”, and the entire army is destroyed. Now the battle of Gog and Magog is described in (Ezekiel 38:39), this occurs before the Millennium, (probably about Mid-Tribulation), while the battle described in Revelation is after the Millennium. Now this battle described in the book of Revelation is the very last war this world shall ever see. Now the multitude that follows the Devil here appears to be made up of only those who are less than one-hundred years of age. (Read) (Isaiah 65:20); Now here we find that the human heart is the depravity and is rebellion toward God. Now even under the ideal conditions of Jesus Christ reign on earth, the unregenerate hearts will rebel against Him. We find that men could live under the righteous reign of our Lord Jesus the (Messiah) and then, as soon as Satan is released, they follow him in rebellion indicates that Jeremiah the Prophet was right when he said. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9)

9) (Read) (Chapter 20:9); And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. (KJV)

9) Explanation: (Chapter 20:9); And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city.

(Now this pictures Satan coming against Jerusalem with his army, which will be the last attack against that city). And fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. (Now fire came down from God out of Heaven and they were all devoured). We see here that the Lord God will make short work of this insurrection.

9) Comments: (Chapter 20:9); Now Satan’s armies are devoured by fire in verse nine. Here God sent fire down from Heaven and devoured all of them. Then Satan is cast into the lake of fire. This is the Eternal Hell that was prepared for the Devil and his Angels (Matthew 25:41). This scripture reveals that the lake of fire is not going to destroy or annihilate its victims, but that it is an eternal place of punishment and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. This is a place called Hell and literal this fire and brimstone will burn for all eternity. (Matthew 5:22); (Matthew 18:9). This fire is never quenched and bible says the worm never dies. (Mark 9:43-46); Now the tongue is a fire of Hell and it defiled the whole body.  (James 3:6).

IV) (Now Satan is cast into the Lake of Fire)   (Revelation 20:10)

10) (Read) (Chapter 20:10); And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (KJV)

10) Explanation: (Chapter 20:10); And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone. (Now we see here that this marks the end of Satan regarding his influence in the world; in fact, this ends any part that he will ever have with the Creation of our God.) Where the beast and the false prophet are. (This proclaims the fact that these two were placed in “the Lake of Fire and Brimstone” some one thousand years earlier in (Revelation 19:20); And shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Now this signifies the Eternity of this place). Now it is a matter of interest to note that Satan’s first act is recorded in (Genesis chapter three), “which is the third Chapter from the beginning,” and his last act on a worldwide scale is mentioned in (Revelation chapter twenty); “the third Chapter from the end.”

10) Comments: (Chapter 20:10); Now the Devil, that deceived all of them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, for they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. Now this is the final destiny of Satan and all the unbelievers. Now this will be the saddest day of the unsaved people because God did not design this lake of fire for man, but it was designed for the Devil and his Angels (Matthew 25:41). Now we should all remember that the price of rebellion against our God (Jehovah) is eternal separation from Him. For there is no escape or release from Hell and that is why verse fourteen is referred to as “the second death”. (Read) (Luke 16:19-31)

V) (The Great White Throne Judgment) (The Second Resurrection) (Revelation 20:11-15)

11) (Read) (Chapter 20:11); And I saw a great white throne,  and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. (KJV)

11) Explanation: (Chapter 20:11); And I John saw a great white throne. (Now this Great White Throne proclaims the final Judgment of the unredeemed, which will take place at the end of the Kingdom Age). And God himself was the One that sat on it. (Now this proclaims none other than God Almighty); however, we must understand that it is the Person of the Godhead, the Lord Jesus Christ in (Matthew 25:31); He is the Savior today and He will be the Judge of tomorrow); from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. (Now this means that a New Heaven and a New Earth in the offering). (Revelation 21:1)

11) Comments: (Chapter 20:11); John said that he saw a “Great White Throne”, and our Lord Jesus Christ was the one that sat upon it.

Now they all fled away but there was no place for them to hide. This is the final judgment of the unrighteous dead. This judgment will take place after the battle of Gag and Magog, and in the air; since the earth and heaven have fled away being purged by fire. (II Peter 3:7); Now at the end of the Millennium, all of those who have rejected Jesus Christ must stand “before God” for their judgment. Now the “dead” are those who are spiritually dead because of their rejection of Jesus Christ. Here they will stand in their resurrected state before our Lord Jesus Christ to be judged by Him. (John 5:22)

11) Extra Comments: In verse eleven; the dead are the unbelieving dead of all the ages and they are judged from two sets of books. These books contain the records of every unsaved person’s life. Now each unsaved person is judged in accordance with his works in (Romans 2:6-16); which clearly shows that each one is a guilty sinner and deserving of eternal death (Romans 3:23); (Romans 6:23). These that are dead are those who have been kept in Hell or a place called (Sheol or Hades). Now this is a temporary place for the souls of the unbelievers until judgment day. These are all the people from Cain to the final rebellion against God and all unbelievers are there. Here they will be judged “according to their works.”

Now remember, this is not a judgment place for the believers in Jesus Christ but every single soul at this judgment is an unbeliever. (Read) about Hell)

12) (Read) (Chapter 20:12); And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (KJV)

12) Explanation: (Chapter 20:12); And I John saw the dead, small and great, stand before God. (Now John said he saw the dead, both small and great, stand before God; this pertains to the Second Resurrection). The Resurrection of the Damnation of (I Corinthians 15); (I Thessalonians 4:13-18); (John 5:29); and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (Now this proclaims the manner of Judgment that was about to come as these Books were opened).

12) Comments: (Chapter 20:12); The Dead, Small and Great are Judged Out of the Books According to Their Works. There are greater punishments in Hell just like there are greater rewards in Heaven. Jesus told the Pharisees, that they would receive greater damnation because they were preventing others from entering into the Kingdom of Heaven. Their punishment in hell will depend upon their works while upon the earth. Now our works are being recorded and we will be judged for every word, action and thought that comes out of your mouth!

13) (Read) (Chapter 20:13); And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  (KJV)

13) Explanation: (Chapter 20:13); And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them. (Now this points to the fact that every unredeemed person who has ever lived will face the Great White Throne Judgment; and there will be none exempted). And they were judged every man according to their works. (Now every man will be judged, according to their works, now here the records will show that this Judgment is not arbitrary, but is based on absolute Justice).

13) Comments: (Chapter 20:13); Now in verse thirteen the word of God said that the sea gave up the dead which were in it. Also death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them. Now we know that all the redeemed were raised from among the dead one thousand years before in (Revelation 20:5) and they have been in glory with Jesus Christ during that period.

This means that the “dead here” can only be the wicked dead that will be from the beginning of all human history up to the setting up of the “Great White Throne” in space. Now this is the final judgment and we can see that subjects here are the dead people and they were judged every man according to their works. Now remember at this final judgment there will be differ degrees in punishment in (Luke 12:47-48).

14) (Read) (Chapter 20:14); and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (KJV)

14) Explanation: (Chapter 20:14); And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. (Now here death and Hell were cast into the Lake of Fire, which are combined, and this includes the wicked of all ages). This is the second death. (Now this second death is Eternal separation from God and the Lake of Fire).

14) Comments: (Chapter 20:14); Now in verse fourteen death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. Now this second death will be an eternal punishment in the lake of fire forever and ever. Now the only ones that will experience this second death are the unsaved people.

15) (Read) (Chapter 20:15); And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (KJV)

15) Explanation: (Chapter 20:15); And whosoever was not found written in the book of life. (Now this refers to the record of all the unbelievers of this world), was cast into the lake of fire). (Now this includes every single individual who isn’t redeemed, beginning with Adam and Eve. This refers to all who did not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

15) Comments: (Chapter 20:15); Now in verse fifteen, God reviews the “Book of Life” one last time, to make sure if the names of anyone is at this final judgment that should not be there. Now this will affirm that the justice of our God’s judgment on the unsaved people is correct in the “Book of Life”. Now here we that are saved should remember if it was not for the mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we would all perish forever and be separated from the one and only true loving God  (Jehovah).

A) Now as we come to the end of this chapter twenty in the book of Revelations, I would like to ask you a question about the condition of “you’re Soul”. If you were to die before this day comes to an end. Where would your Soul spend eternity at? Now this is probably the most important question in your life. Would you like to ask Jesus to save you now? If so just keep on reading and the next few verses will tell you how to be saved.

B) Now all you have to do is just sincerely pray a simple prayer like this one here. “Please God, I confess to you my sins and need Jesus in my life right now. I will turn away from my sins and place my Faith in your Son Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen.”

C) Then you should share your Faith in Jesus Christ with other Christian friends or a pastor. Now by becoming a Christian, this is your first step on that long life’s road of a Spiritual growth and your service to sharing God. The second step is to follow Jesus Christ in a believer’s baptism by immersion in water and joining a local church that teaches the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What Shall I Do To Inherit Eternal Life?”

A) We as Christians should remember that Salvation is simple, but it’s not cheap. It cost Jesus Christ everything so that salvation could be offered to us freely. God has provided salvation on a basis, which permits anyone who can make their own decision to have it. If salvation could be received on the basic of education, multitudes would be excluded. If eternal life could be had on the basis of wealth, a great number of people would still be left out. If being saved were dependent upon one’s moral perfection, everyone would fall short. God has made His salvation available on the basis of a personal faith which even a child can exercise. This way everyone is reduced to the same level in the eyes of God and all must come to him on the same terms (Romans 3:9-10) and (Galatians 3:22). Paul said, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not, of yourselves; it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast.”(Ephesians 2:8-9)

B) The main reason or purpose of this Bible Study is to simplify the Book of Revelation so that the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ can understand what God’s future plans are for all mankind. Now some people just shake their heads and are scared to what the future holds for them. They say that they cannot read this book and understand anything that the Scriptures are saying to them.

C) So I have tried to outline each of the verses with the help of the Holy Spirit so that anyone; whether you are a believer in Jesus Christ (Saved) or an unbeliever (lost) and don’t know who our Savior Jesus Christ is. It is my prayer and hopes that when you try to read and study the Book of Revelation that everyone will always keep an open-mind. Now remember that God loves you and this Book of Revelation is about your future and where everyone will spend the rest of their life. Now as a Christian I am concerned about your soul and where you will spend all eternity at.

D) So just remember that we all have two choices in this life and the first one is that you should realize that you are a sinner and on your way to a place called Hell because of your unbelief in Jesus and His finish Works on the cross. And the second choice is that then you call upon the name of Jesus Christ and ask Him to come into your life and save you: Then you are on your way to a place called Heaven because of what Jesus done for all mankind on the Cross. He paid the price by shedding His Precious Blood and dying there so that all mankind could go free.

Now this concludes our Bible Study on the chapter twenty of the Book of Revelation. Next week we will continue our lesson studies in the twenty-one chapter of the Book of Revelation. Please be much in prayer for me as I try to teach this last book of the Bible.

Note:I pray that this Bible Study lesson about chapter five will help you in your studies and help you understand Gods’ word in the Bible. Please feel free to pass them on to other people if they have helped you.

Your, Brother in Christ
