The book of Third John is the twenty-fifth book of the New Testament. The Third epistle of John, addressed by the Apostle John to his friend, Gaius, rebukes Diotrephes, who had usurped leadership in one of the churches. He slanderously rejecting John’s authority, this man refused to “receive the brethren” and he excommunicated those that did receive them. He stands as one of the first examples of domineering ambition in the church. This Epistle can be divided into three parts: 1) The hospitality to the traveling ministers. 2) The domineering Diotrephes and his evil deeds. 3) The Godly Demetrius. The author of this book is John. Listed below are questions on the book of Third John. These questions can be used freely for Sunday school or bible study to help all young Christians study the scriptures.
