First Chronicles is the thirteenth book of the bible. The books of First Chronicles and Second Chronicles formed one book to in the old Hebrew canon. The book of First Chronicles devoted to the history of Judah from the time of Saul’s death to the Babylonian captivity. This book can be divided into three parts: 1) The genealogies of the Patriarchs and the twelve sons of Israel, 2) The last days and death of King Saul, 3) The reign of David.
