Numbers is the fourth book of the bible. The major part of Numbers recounts the years of the people wandering from the time that they departed from Sinai until the new generation reached the Jordan River. The book of Numbers can be divided into four major sections: 1) The preparations for departure from Sinai, 2) Then from Sinai to the plains of Moab, 3) The prophecies of Balaam, 4) The instructions and preparations for entering the Promised Land.
