A Contemporary Affirmation of Faith

We believe in Jesus Christ the Lord,

  • Who was promised to the people of Israel,
  • Who came in flesh to dwell among us,
  • Who announced the coming of the rule of God,
  • Who gathered disciples and taught them,
  • Who died on the cross to free us from sin,
  • Who rose from the dead to give us life and hope,
  • Who reigns in heaven at the right hand of God,
  • Who comes to Judge and bring justice to victory.

We believe in God His Father,

  • Who raised Him from the dead,
  • Who created and sustains the universe,
  • Who acts to deliver His people in times of need,
  • Who desires all men everywhere to be saved,
  • Who rules over the destinies of men and nations,
  • Who continues to love men even when they reject Him.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,

  • Who is the form of God present in the church,
  • Who moves men to faith and obedience,
  • Who is the guarantee of our deliverance,
  • Who leads us to find God’s will in the Word,
  • Who assists those whom He renews in prayer,
  • Who guides us in discernment,
  • Who impels us to act together.

We believe God has made us His people,

  • To invite others to follow Christ,
  • To encourage one another to deeper commitment,
  • To proclaim forgiveness of sins and hope,
  • To reconcile men to God through word and deed,
  • To bear witness to the power of love over hate,
  • To proclaim Jesus the Lord over all,
  • To meet the daily tasks of life with purpose,
  • To suffer joyfully for the cause of right,
  • To the ends of the earth,
  • To the end of the age,
  • To the praise of His glory.

Amen.

How to study the bible the easy way

There are a lot of ways that some people study God’s Holy Word. I would just like to mention a few ways here:

  1. There are some people that simply just read the bible in church or at home.
  2. There are other people that just listen to the Sunday school teacher or the pastor of their church.
  3. Some people just watch their favored television program on Sunday morning and they always believe that the preacher is never wrong about the bible.

I believe that the best way to study the scriptures is by always letting the Holy Spirit lead you and teach you in God’ Holy Word of the bible. This can be done by praying to God our Father in Heaven for help and by keeping an open mind as you read His Word. I also believe that we can learn about God’s Holy Word by putting our thoughts into a form of a question and just ask Him for guidance in our daily living in the name of Jesus our Savior.

We as Christians should always encourage our fellow believers to be faithful in church attendance and in (Hebrews 10:25) the bible said for us to, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

The bible tells us to study the scriptures to show ourselves approved unto the Word of God. (II Timothy 2:15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

One of the best ways to study in “My- Christian Computer Ministry” is just follow these simple directions: Just read the question and then click on the bible verse. This will take you to the Bible Gate Way .Com section and you can read the answer to the question in that verse in the King James Bible.

If you would like to have more in depth information on this verse just click on the last box that is located under the word update box. This will open up Matthew Henry’s view and commentary that relates to the verse in the bible.

I believe that by answering these questions about the New and Old Testaments in the King James Bible you will know more about God’s Word and this study will help all believers to be more confident and more consistent in their Christian walk with Christ.

Note: My prayer is that this way of studying the Scripture will always help you in your bible study and your understanding of Gods’ Word and just how precious God’s Holy word is to all of us Christians. Please feel free to pass them on to other people if they have helped you.

Your, Brother in Christ

The Lord’s Prayer

The Lord’s prayer can be found in the book of Matthew, (Matthew 6:9-13) and also in the book of Luke. (Luke 11:1-4) In these two books of  Matthew and Luke, Our Lord Jesus Christ was instructing His disciples on prayer here in these passages. This prayer was intended to be a model prayer for them. This prayer which our Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples was known as “The Lord’s Prayer” was given upon two separate occasions; first in the Sermon on the Mount; and second in an unnamed place when one of the disciples requested Jesus our Lord to teach them to pray. There is so much more that we can say about prayer, but remember that as a Christian we have a direct line to God through Jesus our Savior at anytime. Our Lord Jesus gave a definite command to all believers to pray in His name (John 16:23-24) for Jesus sats on right side of God the Father and there He makes intercession on our behalf because He knows our needs before we say them.

The Good Shepherd’s 23 Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. ( Psalm 23) Continue reading “The Good Shepherd’s 23 Psalm”

What is the Rapture of the Church or the Believers

The Rapture is the sudden removal of the Church, which is all the born again believers in Jesus Christ, from the earth to be with the Lord in Heaven for all Eternity. The word Rapture is not in the bible but the idea is drawn from the Latin term for “caught-up” rapturo. It just means that the church of Jesus Christ, which is those who have trusted in Jesus Christ as their Savior, will literally be transported from earth to Heaven in an instant or in a twinkle of an eye. There will be no death for those who will be raptured. All of the believers will be taken instantly or all will be caught-up in the air to be with Jesus for ever and ever. However, no one knows the time when this will actually happen. But we do know that we are given in God’s Word as an assurance that it will happen in Gods own time frame and not in ours. What is The Unpardonable Sin?

The scriptures tells about the Unpardonable Sin the books of (Matthew 12:31-32) and (Mark 3:28-29), The Unpardonable Sin is ascribing to Satan the works of the Holy Spirit which is blaspheming against the Holy Spirit. This sin of blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is called an unpardonable sin in these passages. In Matthew chapter 12, we can read about Jesus and the Pharisees and some of these religious leaders that were plotting to destroy Jesus because of the miracles He had done on the Sabbath. The Pharisees insisted that Jesus had healed by the power of Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons. Jesus said to them, “He who is not with Me is against Me, and He who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.” (Matthew 12:30) Then Jesus said, “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come,” Continue reading “What is The Unpardonable Sin?”

The Crowns That Christians Can Have

The crown is a symbol of victory and reward and all the saints will cast their crowns before God’s throne. The church is a crown of glory to God and his glory, power, and his authority are clearly displayed in (Isaiah 62:3), (Zechariah 9:16.) Jesus Christ’s crown of gold, His many crowns; symbolize His power, His authority, and the glory that is assigned to him by his Father. The saints are a crown to ministers; and they are an ornament and honor of their labors. The saint’s crown of glory, life, and righteousness is that royal and truly honorable state of glory, life, and holiness given them through the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Listed below are the chapter and verses of the crowns that Christians can have when they get to Heaven. Continue reading “The Crowns That Christians Can Have”

There are many people in this world that are not living for God and are in a backsliding condition. Some people are even going to church and may not realize they are a backslider. God says, though man’s ways are not his ways, there is nevertheless hope for the backslider. You can read about the story of the Prodigal Son and how the Father welcomed his son back home.
